How Often Should You Detail Your Car?
One proper detail sets the baseline. A steady schedule keeps the car from sliding back.

People ask how often they should detail their car, and the honest answer is that it depends on where it sits, how you drive, and what you want it to look like. A garage-kept weekend car and a daily driver parked under a tree on the street are not on the same schedule. What works for almost everyone is a rhythm: one proper detail to set the baseline, then lighter visits at a steady interval so the car never gets far from clean. Maria Howe described in her Google review a car that was encrusted with dirt, long dog hair, and spilled kibble, and said it felt brand new when we finished. She added that maybe she wouldn't let it get so bad next time. That's the whole idea behind a maintenance schedule. Regular small cleanings are easier, quicker, and cheaper per visit than rescuing a car that's been ignored for a year.
Three rhythms to choose from
- Biweekly Maintenance Detail, $47 every 2 weeks: exterior foam bath, vacuum and wipe all panels, spray sealant to protect the paint and enhance shine, and an air refresher.
- Monthly Maintenance, $70 every month (our Best Value): exterior foam bath, spray sealant, window cleaning, a thorough vacuum, light seat and carpet cleaning, interior surface cleaning, rim cleaning, tire protectant, and an odor neutralizer.
- Quarterly Full Detail, $240 every 3 months: foam bath, one-stage polish, hand wax, full interior detail, vinyl restore and protectant, seat shampoo, floor mat and carpet cleaning, odor neutralizer, glass cleaning, RainX application, tire shine, and deep rim cleaning.
Plans are subscriptions, and the pitch is simple: save up to 30% off car cleaning with routine detailing that fits your schedule and budget. Here's how we'd match them to real life. The Biweekly plan suits a daily commuter or anyone who parks outside year-round, because a foam bath and sealant every two weeks keeps road grime from building up on the paint. The Monthly plan is our Best Value and covers inside and out, so it fits a family car where the back seat gets used and the carpets take a beating. The Quarterly Full Detail is the lowest-effort choice: four visits a year, each with a polish, a hand wax, and a full interior detail, which suits a car that's already in good shape or a driver who wants a reset each season. If your car is far behind, start with a one-time package, such as the All Star Detail or the MVP Detail, and move onto a plan once it's caught up. That order matters because a maintenance visit is built to hold a clean car in place, not to bring back a neglected one. The plan pitch lists unbeatable savings, tailored services, consistent maintenance, and better longevity and resale value for your car, and the last two only happen if the schedule actually continues. Whichever you pick, the prices above are per visit, and you can compare them with the one-time packages on our auto detailing page.
Ways to pay less
Our referral program works both ways. A friend you send gets 10% off, and you get 15% off for each friend who books. The discount applies to the lowest-priced session in the cart, so keep that in mind when you plan what to book together. If you have more than one vehicle, there's a discount when you book multiple vehicles at once, and the way to start is to message us and talk it through. We also sell gift cards, which is a practical present for anyone who drives and has never had a car properly cleaned. Between a plan, a referral, and a multi-car booking, the cost per visit can come down further, but we'd rather you pick a schedule you'll actually keep than the cheapest one on paper.
One policy is worth reading before you subscribe. There are no refunds or rollovers for missed services, so if you skip a visit, it doesn't carry forward. That's why the interval matters more than the plan name. If you travel a lot or the car sits for weeks, the Quarterly Full Detail may suit you better than a biweekly plan you'll end up missing. Our other rules apply as well: 24 hours' notice to cancel, and we may reschedule for weather. For mobile visits, we need clear access and working space, and valuables out of the car. If you're unsure, call and describe how you use the car. We'd rather help you pick the right rhythm than sell you the biggest one. Mariam Reyes-Toidze wrote that the detailer was transparent about what her car needed without pushing her to pay more, and that's the same conversation we want to have about your schedule.

A coating protects paint. It doesn't fix it, which is why the order of the work matters.
